Norbert Scholz is a Research Director for the communications service provider (CSP) operational technology team in Gartner's Technology & Service Provider Research group, which covers the fixed, mobile, cable and software as a service (SaaS) sectors. He is responsible for conducting primary research with vendors and end users, analyzing data along with secondary research, and preparing market research reports. Specific to the CSP industry, Mr. Scholz communicates global trends, end-user IT requirements and vendor core competencies and strategies to clients. As part of the team, he develops IT spending forecasts and market share reports by component, including operational software, infrastructure software and professional services. Topical coverage includes software license, SaaS and services related to integrated revenue and customer management (IRCM), billing, rating, charging, order-to-cash, customer care, mediation, fraud management, revenue assurance and IRCM transformation across all geographies.
