Susan (Sue) Landry leads the IT Leaders Applications Group, where analysts on six teams write research and advise clients on customer systems, CRM and e-commerce; digital workplace and cloud office; ERP, including financials, human resources and procurement; application governance and strategy; application development and integration; and a team covering applications in Japan. The group includes experts in cloud computing, mobile and web technologies, analytics, service-oriented architecture (SOA), and agile methodologies. Members of the group lead Gartner's research on emerging smart machines.

Ms. Landry previously led various Gartner Research teams, including Digital Workplace, Content and Collaboration, and Banking Industry Advisory Service. She led the research agenda for the applications role of Gartner for IT Leaders, and conducted research on application strategy, governance, maturity, skills and organizational approaches. Prior to joining Gartner, she had 20 years of hands-on applications experience, including strategy, development, integration, package selection and deployment, and management. The businesses enabled by these applications included customer-facing solutions, high-volume/high-risk payment and financial systems, and enterprise applications. She launched several technology-enabled products and services.
