Amanda Sabia is a Principal Analyst in Gartner Research, where she is part of the Worldwide Personal Technologies team covering dynamics that drive personal and workplace behaviors, motivations, inhibitors, and adoption of personal technologies and services. She also leads the research on global spending on personal technologies. Ms. Sabia focuses on North Americans' use of OTT and subscription-based video, broadband, Internet, and voice-related services, applications and platforms within the connected home. Ms. Sabia manages the agenda for the key initiatives around exploiting the personal technology market dynamics, and she leads the Personal Technologies Survey, Gartner's primary research project that surveys people, including digital workers, about their technology ownership, behaviors and motivations.

Amanda Sabia's Recent Gartner Activity
Prior to joining Gartner in early 2000, Ms. Sabia worked at Verizon for 14 years, concentrating on the area of financial planning and analysis. Her positions involved analyzing and projecting telecommunications demand, revenue, expenses and other income statement items as input to the senior management team. She also presented financial and operational results to internal organizations, primarily Investor Relations, for inclusion in meetings with investors and debt and equity analyst communities. Just prior to her leaving, Ms. Sabia was a project leader involved in quantification of the potential financial synergy of the Bell Atlantic-GTE merger. Before entering the business sector, Ms. Sabia taught instrumental and general music to children of special needs in grades K-12.
