Roles and Responsibilities
Fabrizio Biscotti is an analyst part of the Infrastructure Software team within the Gartner Technology and Service Provider (TSP) research organization. Mr. Biscotti is responsible for the coverage of studies (competitive landscapes, SWOT analysis, market trends and forecasts) of the application infrastructure and middleware (AIM) market, and advises vendors and end users on key dynamics and opportunities. His particular focus is on platform middleware (application platform software, aPaaS, TPMs), message oriented middleware, business process management suites (BPMS), API management, portal products and digital engagement technologies. He covers the general trends in integration middleware relevant both for vendors and end users. He also looks at market activities surrounding emerging technologies, such as platform as a service (PaaS), in-memory computing, Event Stream Processing and low-latency messaging. He also contributes to Tech Go-to-Market research, particularly in covering cloud/PaaS, new business models and go-to-market strategies for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Mr. Biscotti has served as Gartner's Lead Analyst covering TIBCO and as Agenda Manager for European software coverage. He currently manages the agenda called "Exploit Enterprise Software Market Dynamics." In 2005 and 2007, he earned Gartner's Research Achievement Award in recognition of outstanding achievement within the research organization.
