Roles and Responsibilities

Joseph Unsworth is a Research Vice President with the Gartner Technology and Service Provider Research group, where Mr. Unsworth provides Product Managers and others strategic advice and insight from NAND flash chip and emerging memory technologies through to end-user systems such as solid-state arrays. He has created extensive research tailored to both vendors and end users for solid-state arrays since 2009 and built up the PC and data center SSD research since 2006, all of which was preceded by his development of NAND flash, controllers and portable storage since 2002. Lastly, he was the Vendor Lead Analyst for Intel from 2017 to 2019 and now is Lead Analyst for Samsung for 2019-2022. His research provides strategic insight for suppliers and customers of flash, storage and emerging memory technology, while also allowing a complete perspective deployment and pricing.
