Prior to serving as a Leadership Partner for Gartner, Bill Snyder was a vice president in Gartner Research, and a thought leader in vendor management, procurement and asset management. He is one of the original analysts covering strategic vendor management and has extensive experience planning and negotiating enterprise software license agreements, including financial analysis and software acquisition contract review, particularly with Oracle. Mr. Snyder chaired Gartner'ÂÂs IT Finance, Procurement and Asset management conference from 2007 to 2012 and was a regular speaker at Gartner events as well as external conferences.
Previous to joining Gartner in September 2000, Mr. Snyder was responsible for software asset management at ExxonMobil, working with dozens of software suppliers and guiding software decisions through more than 20 data center consolidations. He has spent nearly 20 years in IT.
