Roles and Responsibilities

David Willis is the Chair of the Senior Content Leadership Board, providing transparency, oversight, and guidance for Gartner's integrated content initiatives. He is responsible for research position oversight and cross-organization content efforts, serving as liaison and advisor to the Research and Advisory Executive Management Team. He is also leader of the CIO, IT Leadership, and Technology Content Leadership Board. As a Chief of Research, he oversees various agendas within the IT Leaders organization. In his tenure at Gartner, he has served as an Advisor to some of the largest IT leaders and technology providers in the world, in the areas of leadership, organizational models, and technology strategy.


Previous Experience

Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Willis was networking research practice lead at the Meta Group. Prior to Meta, he served as managing editor for Network Computing Magazine. Mr. Willis was previously responsible for system integration at the American Red Cross, serving as Chief Technology Advisor to the CIO and leading the organization's technology standardization and transformation efforts.
