Roles and Responsibilities
Annette Zimmermann is a part of the TSP Product Management team, and her coverage focus is supporting product managers in various markets including mobile devices and indoor location services discussing product differentiation and competitive analysis. This also includes discussing the product strategy for key vendors such as Apple, Samsung, Huawei, Amazon and Google. Part of this research is also looking at new technology trends such as Emotion AI/affective computing. Ms. Zimmermann is Gartner's Complex Vendor Lead for Apple. Her coverage extends to indoor location and location intelligence platforms where she supports IT Leaders analyzing a wide area of location technologies including BLE beacons, Wi-Fi, RFID, UWB, etc. Furthermore, helping with the realization of beacon projects in industries such as retail, manufacturing, healthcare and logistics is also part of her coverage.

Before joining Gartner, Ms. Zimmermann was a Management Consultant at Barkawi & Partner based in Munich, Germany. As a member of the telecommunications team, she was involved in a worldwide benchmarking study of mobile network operators. She also gained insight into the network vendor and repair market by writing a business plan for one of the largest network equipment manufacturers in the market.
