Dimitris Geragas joined Gartner Consulting's federal practice in November 2006 in Arlington, Virginia. Dimitris Geragas's Recent Gartner Activity
Before joining Gartner, Mr. Geragas was responsible for enterprise architecture, business intelligence, knowledge management, and the overall strategic direction of IT for both commercial and Department of Defense organizations. He translated and operationalized corporate business strategy for differentiation and cost containment and provided overall enterprise-level programmatic discipline and technical expertise in the fields of IT and information management, ranging from strategy development to operations execution with direct report to executive and board positions. In the Department of Defense space, Mr. Geragas conducted IT strategy and planning, data strategy and management, and large-scale systems engineering, and defined enterprise-level strategy and architecture. Mr. Geragas has provided papers and briefs on IT alignment and data strategy formulation and implementation to the Office of the Secretary of Defense. He is a member of the ASD (NII)/DCOI Forum for Communities of Interest, the Data Strategy Working Group for the Undersecretary of Defense Logistics, and the OASD (NII) GIG Enterprise Services Strategy Working Group.
