Roles and Responsibilities
Nancy Erskine, Gartner's Ombudsman, is a Group Vice President in Gartner's Law, Compliance & Communications team. In this capacity, she leads the Ombudsman team, which is responsible for ensuring ethical and objective behavior among Gartner associates. Her team enhances Gartner's client value and brand by addressing openly and assertively issues of analytical independence, accuracy and integrity. She established this office in 2004 and has led it since. Ms. Erskine's previous roles at Gartner include many senior positions in Research, with responsibilities as Editor in Chief, Director of Research Analyst Onboarding, and Research Director/Analyst. In her eight years as analyst, Ms. Erskine covered several areas, including office information systems, corporate publishing systems, records retention and image-processing systems. She also has served as Managing VP and Head of Operations for Gartner Consulting.
Previous to joining Gartner, Ms. Erskine was an information systems manager at PepsiCo, where she set electronic publishing standards for the corporation's headquarters.
