Previous Experience

Dr. Andonian has more than 30 years of information technology and business product development experience. Prior to Gartner, he worked as an IT executive for a Fortune 150 insurance company. He has served in roles including business unit CIO, VP and AVP of product development and information technology. He has led application development and business solutions architecture practices along with building business intelligence and informatics solutions. He has also played key roles in business process and technology outsourcing initiatives, and the development of enterprise architecture, governance, and portfolio and project management programs. Prior to his current role, Mr. Andonian spent 10 years developing and leading an informatics group as part of a healthcare cost-management startup that he helped become a NASDAQ 100 company. He has also been a principal consultant specialized in healthcare provider market research and analysis, strategic planning, and third-party reimbursement. He worked with clients in many industries including insurance, managed healthcare, healthcare delivery organizations (hospital, university medical center, long-term care, mental health), communications, technology, defense, federal and state governments, Taft-Hartley union trust funds, and nonprofit charitable organizations. He was adjunct professor, university instructor, researcher, and health educator. He is also an executive and life coach, and a certified behavior, and values consultant specializing in organziational psychology, leadership and communications effectivness. He has had articles published in several peer-reviewed scientific journals and computer journals.
