Tim Zimmerman is a Research VP at Gartner, where he covers IoT communication issues and technologies as well as access layer wired and wireless infrastructure. In this role, he assists clients in how emerging trends are transforming and disrupting enterprises across a number of industries. His research has focused on Wi-Fi, RFID, Bluetooth LE, iBeacons, Eddystone across the IoT ecosystem for asset tracking and indoor-location solutions. His coverage also includes wireless technologies ranging from PAN to LAN.
