Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Dixon worked at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) for 12 years, where he was responsible for establishing an IT-wide configuration and change management system (over 4,000 users). Prior to this, he was Director of Quality and Compliance, implementing management systems (ITIL, ISO 20000), business process improvements (Lean Six Sigma) and compliance/governance programs (COBIT), including Sarbanes-Oxley (no significant or material findings in entire time in post). Before GSK, Mr. Dixon worked at the British Approvals Board for Telecommunications (BABT) as a Lead Auditor and Senior Technical Officer auditing companies, mainly in Asia, against telecom regulations and ISO 9001. He also established a management system for PT Telekomunikasi in Bandung, Indonesia (NAMAS M10/EN45001), and set up the first overseas office for BABT in Taiwan, living in Taipei for seven months.
