In this role, he was responsible for the global strategy and collaboration behind research content and analyst interaction programs at Gartner Events. He also led agenda program management and content production support for Research's participation in the global Symposia series. Prior to his role at Gartner, he led AMR's Custom Research and Consulting efforts. In this capacity, he and his team designed and executed primary research studies that gave technology provider and supply chain clients deep understanding of customer needs. He joined AMR Research from META Group, where he was a director in the IT vendor practice of META Group Consulting, focusing on voice-of-the-customer primary research in the enterprise portals and mobility spaces. Prior to META Group, he spent four years in the online marketing and advertising space, developing content and e-commerce offerings targeted at digital consumers. He also worked at Compaq Computer and Digital Equipment in product management and product marketing roles in the desktop workstation division. He began his career as an IT applications programmer, deploying marketing, sales force automation and financial systems for a leading manufacturer of surgical and medical devices.
