Rob is a Senior Managing Partner with Gartner Consulting, representing Gartner's consulting offerings to Public Sector clients in Canada. Rob brings over 16 years of experience in management consulting and client service, advising both public and private sector organizations. Prior to joining Gartner, Rob spent much of his career advising clients and supporting their business strategy, business/IT alignment, opportunity and business case development, new product development, go to market, and strategic planning initiatives. While at Gartner, which he joined in 2010, Rob has been involved in supporting client outcomes in almost all areas of Information Technology management, from the development of broader IT Strategies, to identifying how to execute on functional improvements in areas like IT Governance or Application Portfolio Management, to developing specific action plans to reap the benefits of improvements in areas like Sourcing and Vendor Management.
Rob Sibley's Recent Gartner Activity
Prior to joining Gartner, Rob spent six years at Innovapost, a $350 million IT outsourcing joint venture between Canada Post and CGI. There, he led a number of business and functional strategy consulting engagements, and he also conceived of and led the commercialization efforts for the first product launch in the companies' history. Rob also held a brief position as the Director of Service Innovation at Systemscope before joining Gartner, an Ottawa-based consulting firm that focuses exclusively on the federal government market. And prior to this, Rob spent two years with a Marketing Research consulting firm, leverage data and analytics insights gathered through primary research to inform marketing and go to market investments.
