Previous Experience

Before joining Gartner, Mr. Weldon spent 12 years at Nokia, where he worked primarily at the interface between IT and senior business stakeholders. Most recently, he was responsible for ramping up an enterprise PMO for business capability development, which provided a link between business strategy and execution. Prior to that, Mr. Weldon created and managed the CIO office, focusing on IT strategy, portfolio and program management, IT transformation, and the marketing and communication of IT value within the company. Mr. Weldon has held various IT leadership positions in the past, including strategy and operations development for IT infrastructure, and managing teams responsible for delivering middleware, database, intranet and internet solutions. He has also been a program manager and IT service manager.
