Prior to joining Gartner in 2012, Ms. Young led the global product marketing team for Verizon Business, responsible for go-to-market efforts, cross-product solutions, and product strategy for managed network services, application-aware tools and Verizon's CPE offerings. She provided oversight and vision to a team of experts around the world, responsible for managing and marketing the most comprehensive data product portfolio on the market. As the visionary for these product lines, Ms. Young provided oversight and direction to a team of global experts responsible for managing and marketing Verizon Business's products to ensure a lead position in the marketplace. Ms. Young began her career with Verizon via MCI in 1996 and served in a variety of product management roles for such products and solutions as MPLS, Internet, broadband and secure gateway services, along with frame relay, ATM and managed network services. She was also responsible for originally launching MCI's flagship MPLS service, Private IP, in 2000, which continues to generate billions of dollars yearly.
