Danellie Young is a Sr. Director, Analyst in Gartner Research that serves Infrastructure and Communication Services leaders with primary research responsibility for services sourcing and vendor management including; hybrid WANs and network services, sourcing strategy, evaluation/selection of providers, contracting and pricing models for wireline network services. She is an expert on emerging enterprise-class telecom/network services including managed network services and SD-WAN services, next-generation network and performance management, and switched Ethernet (VPLS), Internet and MPLS services.

Prior to joining Gartner in 2012, Ms. Young led the global product marketing team for Verizon Business, responsible for go-to-market efforts, cross-product solutions, and product strategy for managed network services, application-aware tools and Verizon's CPE offerings. She provided oversight and vision to a team of experts around the world, responsible for managing and marketing the most comprehensive data product portfolio on the market. As the visionary for these product lines, Ms. Young provided oversight and direction to a team of global experts responsible for managing and marketing Verizon Business's products to ensure a lead position in the marketplace. Ms. Young began her career with Verizon via MCI in 1996 and served in a variety of product management roles for such products and solutions as MPLS, Internet, broadband and secure gateway services, along with frame relay, ATM and managed network services. She was also responsible for originally launching MCI's flagship MPLS service, Private IP, in 2000, which continues to generate billions of dollars yearly.
