Mr. Herschmann has more than 23 years of experience in IT, spending time as a developer, consultant and product manager. He has extensive experience and expertise in the software development and testing disciplines, and he has been a frequent speaker and instructor on these topics for more than a decade. Prior to joining Gartner, he worked at Micro Focus, where he was globally responsible for the company's automated testing offerings. Previously at Borland, he managed a global team of product managers and marketers and was responsible for the company's Life Cycle Quality Management suite of products. Earlier in his career, he was a technical sales engineer and consultant for software testing and quality assurance. He was also a consultant specializing in the implementation, testing and launching of large-scale website projects.
