Remi Gulzar is sr. research director and agenda manager for strategy, governance and operating models with Gartner's CIO research team. His primary research focus is enterprise IT governance in the digital era, Mr. Gulzar is passionate about advancing the practice of governance to benefit people, society and business. He created the adaptive governance methodology that balances between stability and agility to enable enterprises make good decisions at the speed of digital businessMr. Gulzar covers strategy design and execution, digital business, operating models, organization design, and business value of I&T as additional topics. As subject matter expert on these topics he has developed and implemented numerous initiatives across multiple industries and has taught on the subjects at postgraduate programs of the University of Tilburg in the Netherlands (TIAS). He is thought leader on governance in the digital era, driving connected strategies, business and operating model alignment, transitioning from project-to-product, realizing business value of IT and driving digital business transformation.Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Gulzar has held positions as global head of IT Strategy, VP of IT and head of IT strategy & enterprise architecture. He has fulfilled numerous key leadership and subject matter expert positions, demonstrating the business value of IT, with top tier companies in the financial, and (high-tech) manufacturing industries, operating on the tangent between business and ITMr. Gulzar is a hands-on subject matter expert. He has led a number of global initiatives that leverage technology as accelerator to achieving business outcomes, ranging from IT strategy, organizational restructuring and enterprise architecture, audit and risk, to IT M&A and large-scale IT operating model transformations.
