Thomas O'Connor is a senior director, analyst for Gartner's supply chain industries, programs and community content team. Through in-depth, cross-industry research and insight into trends, Mr. O'Connor provides advice to supply chain leaders on the integration of digital and physical supply chains, demand-driven supply chain maturity, performance management and benchmarking initiatives. He is also the Gartner end-to-end retail supply chain lead, working closely on the Gartner Supply Chain Top 25 and Power of the Profession programs, while covering emerging retail and consumer practices such as unified commerce, fulfillment strategies and the digitally enabled circular economy. Mr. O'Connor has nearly 20 years of business experience, with 10 years focused on the retail supply chain. Prior to joining Gartner in 2015, he worked on numerous regional and global initiatives at luxury goods leader Louis Vuitton and has direct experience in supply chain leadership, e-commerce design and implementation, store operations, ERP implementation and configuration, sales and operations planning, logistics management, and service analytics. Before entering the world of luxury he was a business leader and engineer in the construction industry. Mr. O'Connor has a combined bachelor's degree in engineering and business from the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia, along with an Executive M.B.A. He is based in Sydney.
