Nick Jones is a Vice President and Gartner Distinguished Analyst. Mr. Jones' research focuses primarily on the Internet of Things (IoT). His research coverage includes IoT strategy, new digital business models enabled by the IoT, IoT wireless technologies, the use of blockchain in IoT, IoT technology trends, tracking and tagging objects including RFID, smart lighting, smart buildings and wearable devices. His secondary research interests also include the use of mobile devices and apps as components of IoT solutions, emerging trends/technologies, consumerization, innovation strategy, and the social impact of technology.
