Prior to his work with Research Board, Mr. Germann led the North America South region for nine years, growing the region from $8 million to more than $40 million in contract value. He led a team of former CIOs and IT practitioners responsible for delivering membership programs and services to CIOs. Before this, Mr. Germann was an executive partner, where he led the resurgence of Executive Programs membership in the Texas and Southwest areas, doubling the membership base. Earlier in his career, as a Gartner research director, Mr. Germann focused on IT asset management consulting with enterprise clients on software contract terms and conditions, and compliance best practices and researching methodologies for tracking the business value of IT assets. In 29 years in the IT industry, Mr. Germann has also been a vice president of strategy and planning for MainControl, an IT asset management technology and service provider, a product manager at Novell, and chief technical editor at McGraw-Hill LAN Times.
B.S., Computer Science, with a double major in International Relations, Brigham Young University
