Scot Kim is a member of the Technology and Service Provider (T&SP) research organization and is a leader in defining research vision, thought leadership and advisory for the "Gartner for Product Teams (GPT)" offer. Mr. Kim's areas of coverage are product management, product leadership, product strategy and channel strategy for technology product management leaders in the Technology and Service Provider (TSP) client base. He also provides research and advisory services to clients that need performing competitive analysis for all departments like product management, engineering, product marketing, solutions marketing and sales. He focuses on issues related to understanding and adapting marketing and sales to understand the competitive landscape, who the competitors are, and how to exploit the competitor's weaknesses by countering with your company's strengths. Furthermore, he has deep experience in industrial IoT technologies, IoT analytics, IoT data, IoT platforms and IoT-enabled product-as-a-service business models. He currently evaluates Industrial IoT platform companies in the latest Gartner Magic Quadrant and Critical Capabilities. His latest IoT project is on the automation of IoT assets, and IoT-enabled product-as-a-service models. He pertains to the pricing and servitization of IoT assets.
