Roles and Responsibilities
Adrian O'Connell is a Research Director at Gartner, where he is part of the Data Center Infrastructure and Management research group, focusing on the overall data center infrastructure market, forecasts, customer segmentation, as well as the server market. As part of that team, Mr. O'Connell analyzes technology developments, end-user requirements and business model changes that relate to data center infrastructure and server markets. Current key focus areas include the impact of cloud computing on server sales, data center customer segmentation, integrated systems, hyperconverged systems and extreme-low-energy servers. Mr. O'Connell maintains a global view for all server types and contributes to the worldwide quarterly statistics and forecast research areas. In addition, he is currently developing a new process for a more holistic and integrated data center forecast process.
