Tata Steel has built a data platform processing TBs of data per second spanning 100k+ stakeholders across 10 Mining Locations, 18 plants in Tier 2, Tier 3 towns to ensure the safety of its workforce in these locations. The platform uses near-real time data from various IOT & sensors based sources such BLE Beacons, Biometric attendance systems, video surveillance, and safety watches to enable timely interventions to prevent any untoward incidents. The system has helped create a single version of truth worker 360 through 4 pillars - data, people, process, technology.
