Case Study: Business transformation through Digital Infrastructure Modernization

Customer expectations in the Insurance industry are ever changing, the Industry is moving towards real-time policy issuance, with new sales channels and evolving aggregator, e-commerce & ecosystem partner driven model of policy issuance, there is an increased need for insurance systems to be robust to support sporadic high volume loads and to facilitate easier partner onboarding & integration. BAGIC’s previous policy admin system & its digital layer was dated, monolithic which led to longer time to market for new products and enhancements. This also posed challenges to support high transaction volumes and provide predictability to business leading to opportunity loss. This case study will talk about how BAGIC modernized its legacy technical architecture, leveraged a cloud based microservices architecture and helped it become more agile, scalable and improve end-user experience while reducing operational cost. The case study will address:

● How the Policy Admin solution was structured and deployed

● How data was migrated to the new solution and security consideration for moving
to the cloud

● How the organization leveraged Open source products

● Steps taken from a Business process reengineering stand-point
