Adviser to the Waseda University Institute for Business and Finance
Born in Tokyo in 1940, Yukio Noguchi graduated from the University of Tokyo Faculty of Engineering in 1963, and joined the Ministry of Finance in 1964. He earned a Ph.D. in Economics from Yale University in 1972. After serving as a professor at Hitotsubashi University and the University of Tokyo (where he was also head of the Center for Advanced Economics Engineering), and as a Visiting Professor at Stanford University, he became a professor at the Graduate School of of Finance, Accounting and Law at Waseda University in April 2005. He has been an adviser to the Waseda University Institute for Business and Finance since April 2011. He is also an emeritus professor at Hitotsubashi University. He has served in his current positions since September 2017.
