HEINEKEN is a family-owned, independent brewer with a history that stretches back over 150 years. With a larger global presence than any other brewer in the business, they own over 300 brands that are sold in more than 190 countries in the world.
HEINEKEN has historically excelled at building strong connections: with consumers, customers, suppliers and our employees. In a world that is moving more-and-more online, we need to digitally transform our business and relations with all our stakeholders in order to keep this competitive advantage. We therefore have the ambition to become the Best-Connected Brewer.
As part of this ambition, we will implement a new, modern Digital Backbone. This Digital Backbone consists of a lean S/4 HANA CORE with a set of cloud-based business platforms. This Digital Backbone will replace existing ‘wall-to-wall’ ERPs across 80 of HEINEKEN’s Operating Companies. This Digital Backbone will enable significant business benefits, allowing Operating Companies to provide seamless customer experiences, drive efficient end-to-end processes as well as ensure scalability of solutions and insights across Operating Companies. At the same time, there are a number of challenges that need to be addressed, such as replacing a large amount of legacy applications and harmonizing data streams.
