John Musser is Director of Engineering at Ford Pro, Ford’s new business unit building cloud-based digital services for commercial vehicle customers. Previously at Ford he was Director of Data & Analytics at Ford Autonomous Vehicles. Prior to joining Ford, John was founder and CEO of ProgrammableWeb, the online resource for open APIs (acquired by Alcatel-Lucent). His work on APIs and platforms has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, The Economist, and Wired, and he’s spoken at conferences including SXSW, Dreamforce and CES. During his 30-year career John has worked and consulted with companies including Google, Microsoft, Salesforce, Electronic Arts, Credit Suisse, MTV, The World Bank and AT&T. He received his MA from NYU and has taught at Columbia University and the University of Washington.
