Gartner CIO Leadership Forum 2020 Tracks Overview

It’s an increasingly volatile world. Confidence, for the business as well as individuals, comes from instilling the attitudes, practices and capabilities necessary to thrive on the new and unexpected. At Gartner CIO Leadership Forum, March 30 - April 1, 2020 in Hollywood. FL, you’ll learn how to lead through this unpredictable era and seize the opportunities change opens up.

Get the insights you need for the business of tomorrow. At Gartner CIO Leadership Forum 2020 we have 3 tracks dedicated to your priorities. View the 2020 tracks and sessions below.

Event dates don’t sync well with your calendar? Prefer the west coast? Like the mountains over the beach? Gartner CIO Leadership Forum offers the same event in two locations. View our sister conference, held February 23-25 1, in Phoenix, AZ with the same agenda!

As CIO in an era of ongoing disruption, your guidance on the creative application of new and emerging technologies is essential to business growth and competitive advantage. Learn what short and long-term strategies will lead you and your team to success in dynamic and uncertain times. In this track, we’ll explore what it takes to create an effective and adaptable strategy, including key topics such as operating models, digital transformation, emerging and disruptive technologies, cost optimization and cybersecurity.

It’s not enough to be the technology expert anymore. You also need to be the kind of leader your fellow C-suite executives and the board of directors turn to for input on business strategy. The most effective leaders know how to present a case persuasively and influence decisions. This track will help you improve your ability to talk about technology in language that inspires action and reinforces the business value of IT. We’ll explore ways to craft a more compelling story, understand political dynamics, deliver board presentations that hit home, and build your personal brand.

The IT organization no longer owns all of IT. Today’s CIOs must develop cross-departmental teams of highly skilled individuals. You must find ways to attract scarce talent, build digital dexterity across the organization and overcome cultural resistance. It’s a task that’s part leadership, part inspiration, part organization. This track will help you reshape organizational structures and attitudes for greater agility, strengthen your teams with diversity and inclusion and create a culture that is nourished and emboldened (not intimidated or overwhelmed) by change and innovation.

Enterprises will win by their ability to handle crisis and disruption, not by optimizing for stability. We’ll focus the start of your Forum experience looking at Enterprise Fitness. Fit enterprises are able to win in the turns. You will learn specific actions CIOs can take to increase the enterprise’s fitness and ability to emerge from a crisis stronger than before in an initiate environment with your peers.

This has been a breath of fresh air. I have learned so much about culture change, the Continuous Next and digital product management. The workshops have been valuable in that I created a strategic plan and can bring that back to my team.
