Aryan Thakur

Aryan is a cybersecurity researcher with a focus on cyberphysical systems. He started his journey in the field at the age of 14 as a freelance penetration tester before pivoting to specialize in OT security and cyberphysical systems. Aryan recently developed and deployed the first proof-of-concept for a theoretical IoT security architecture and has been invited to speak at prominent events, including PicoCTF, a major cybersecurity hackathon for high school students. Additionally, Aryan has conducted research on IoT security relating to vehicular ad-hoc networks and self-driving cars and has authored well-received articles on topics such as reverse engineering and firmware exploitation. Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo, Aryan continues to make strides in the field of cybersecurity and cyber-physical systems.
