Yessica Jones is the Arkansas chief technology officer (CTO) and director of the Arkansas Department of Information Systems (DIS). As DIS director, Jones leads more than 160 information technology (IT) professionals responsible for the state network, telecommunications services, cybersecurity, and information systems. Jones has 22 years of IT experience in the IT industry between the private sector, Higher Education, and public sector.

As CTO, Jones is the appointed as the chairperson of the Technology Oversight Council. Jones is a member of the Open Data and Transparency Task Force, Arkansas Homeland Security Executive Committee, Arkansas Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Board, and chairperson of the Information Network of Arkansas (INA) Board. Jones is a member of the National Association of States CIOs Executive Committee.
In the last three years Jones has been the recipient of StateScoop’s “Up and Comer”, “Top Women in Technology”, and “Golden Gov: State Executive of the Year”. In 2020 GovTech named her one of the top 25 government technology leaders.
Jones holds a B.S. in Computer Science and an M.B.A. from Harding University.
