Time and again, the availability and capabilities of analytics solutions have outpaced the ability of analytics users to broadly adopt and leverage those technologies in decision making. Most often, supply chain users have had mixed feelings about the role of analytics technologies, from BI to statistical modeling and optimization, in their daily work. Black-box solutions that lack transparency into their inner works have frustrated their users, resulting in a lack of trust and limited adoption.
