RPA involves two main risks — data leakage and fraud and proper governance. Including security is essential to mitigate these risks. To address the security failures in RPA projects, security and risk management leaders must: 

  • Ensure accountability for bot actions
  • Avoid abuse and fraud from breaks in segregation of duties
  • Protect log integrity and ensure nonrepudiation 
  • Enable secure RPA development
