Summary

For a company most often associated with databases, middleware, and a growing array of enterprise applications, Oracle, surprisingly, put collaboration on center stage at OpenWorld with Oracle Beehive. The obvious question is why does Oracle want to get into a market Microsoft has so long dominated, where IBM is a solid incumbent, where Google looms, and where it has negligible presence of its own.
