Sales and operations planning (S&OP) lets organizations balance total demand and supply along the entire value chain, from customer to supplier. A mature S&OP process creates consensus planning, integrating sales, marketing, operations, finance, and the total supply chain. It can greatly benefit the bottom line and increase customer satisfaction. Tom Dadmun, VP of supply chain at ADTRAN, shares his experiences of implementing a corporate-wide S&OP process.
