Representatives from 68 consumer products (CP) companies said their top priority in 2009 is to manage supplier quality, compliance, and performance, according to a recent AMR Research survey. Respondents felt these capabilities were their largest gaps when asked about performance. Since Unilever is an early adopter in building world-class supplier management capabilities to increase savings and productivity gains, we'll describe the company's journey to provide guidance, highlighting six best practices.
