At Sterling Commerce's global user conference, the company announced its new Business Integration Suite, a unification of its current business-to-business, enterprise application integration, and managed file transfer products. In the short term, companies looking to cut costs by consolidating their integration spend should evaluate the Sterling product. In the long term, they need to eliminate the competition between overlapping COEs and organize in order to knit together external and internal applications into unified, multi-company business processes.
