Summary

Oracle continues its buying spree, this time grabbing G-Log, a $34M North American provider of Transportation Management System (TMS) applications. The deal, for an undisclosed amount, is expected to close in the fall 2005, and should have a significant impact on the market. If Oracle can execute and all other market assumptions stay the same, the acquisition has the potential to propel Oracle past SAP to the No. 1 slot in 2005 SCM market share.
