IBM Puts Black Box and EWS on the Road

Two recent announcements from IBM demonstrate its commitment to deliver cutting-edge automotive solutions in support of its on demand strategy. An ongoing contract with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) showcases IBM's ability to deliver integrated hardware, software, and services to address auto-related issues like improving driver safety and fleet management. A second initiative is an Early Warning System (EWS) that connects field data collection activities with dealership repair data to provide increased visibility into vehicle defect and repair trends.
