An Early Warning System (EWS) reduces the time it takes to determine a defect in a product's design or manufacturing process to applying the corrective action, saving automotive companies millions in warranty, replacement part, and litigation costs. But for many companies, justifying initial investments in EWS--beyond those required to meet compliance mandates--is challenging. To help companies move forward, this Report highlights the benefits realized by companies that have begun their EWS journey and points to the future returns expected from expanding these efforts to include the global supply chain.
