Consumer products manufacturers and retailers that must synchronize item information with one another should be scouting out product information management software. The cost is readily justified by reducing the manual labor in adding and maintaining new item information across existing inventory, distribution, logistics, bill-of-materials, merchandising, pricing, and point-of-sale systems.
