If you're a vertical or private brand footwear or apparel retailer that isn't worried about reducing your speed to market for new products, you're in an enviable position. Just about every soft goods retailer with a fashion component in its product mix is trying to significantly shorten the time it takes to get product from concept to the consumer. It's only getting worse as consumer behaviors and trends continue to change with increasing frequency.
