OEMs will be forgiven their confusion with the different applications available to support their ongoing relationship with their customers. CRM vendors are selling field-service functionality. PLM vendors are selling customer collaboration throughout a product's lifecycle. And EAM vendors are selling asset lifecycle management to OEM's customers.
