Beyond CPFR: Retail Collaboration Comes of Age

Collaborative Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment (CPFR) is coming of age, and retailers are not at all sure what to do about it. While retailers initially take a financial hit when a collaborative relationship is formed because of reduced chargebacks and penalties, the bottom line is that long-term benefits far outweigh these early costs. To achieve maximum benefit, retailers may start with CPFR, but they also need to look to a broader collaborative footprint.
