At long last, the monkey is off the back of the MARC Systems business unit of TRW. In a divestiture that took 12 months to finalize, TRW has spun off the MARC group into an independent company called MARC Global Holdings. An international group of investors led by Washington Investment Partners now owns 55% of the new company, while TRW maintains nearly a 20% ownership stake with the remainder controlled by management and employees. The new company employs approximately 300 people (including all the current TRW employees from the MARC and FACE divisions) and is headed by Theo Kremers.
