ERP vendor J.D. Edwards (JDE) hosted over 8000 attendees at its Focus 2000 Users Conference last week in Denver. At the opening session fanfare, which included a live onstage performance of the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, JDE established the tone for its new Freedom to Choose strategy. The strategy is designed to meet its customers' needs for B2B integration and collaborative commerce. JDE is introducing OneWorld Xe (Extended Enterprise) with it's major component OneWorld XPI (Extended Process Integration). With this introduction, JDE intends to provide its customers a suite of collaborative applications and messaging infrastructure. The suite will support integration needs, not just at document level, but at process level as well.
