Meridium visited AMR Research this past week to discuss its self-described Enterprise Reliability Management System (ERMS). The Meridium product helps manufacturers, particularly in the asset-intensive process industries, manage the reliability of critical equipment. The company is eight years old, employs 90 people, and has a number of high-profile clients, including ExxonMobil, Chevron, Eastman Chemical, Marathon Ashland Petroleum, PPG Industries, and Southern California Edison. For most of its clients, Meridium is an enterprise application: it is used at all manufacturing facilities and, in some instances, for optimization equipment utilization across the enterprise.
