InterWorld's multi-channel, closed-loop solution, called Commerce Intelligence, helps retailers, manufacturers, and distributors get smart about their business and customers. Commerce Intelligence leverages technology and industry expertise from MicroStrategy for customer information analysis, from Informatica for sharing of data of front-end and back-end systems across the enterprise, and from Actuate for advanced e-commerce reporting.Commerce Intelligence will be available in late 2Q00 and will help companies streamline business processes to enhance the effectiveness of promotions, marketing campaigns, and merchandising efforts. The product includes a datamart and data integration application to gather and centralize clickstream, commerce, inventory, wireless, fulfillment, and call-center data often spread across hundreds of files, databases, and tables throughout the enterprise. Businesses can visually analyze their business including product sales, current inventory, segmentation, and purchasing behavior as well as promotion tracking; and use the data to drive marketing campaigns and promotions across channels. JAVA, XML, COM, SNMP, Windows NT, and Solaris UNIX platforms for Commerce Intelligence will be available as well as support for Oracle and SQL databases.
