Wonderware With Marcam Focus on Real-Time ERP

At this week's Wonderware focus group, AMR Research participated with executives from several international manufacturing organizations to discuss future plans around the Marcam acquisition and the direction of the combined software products. The diverse group of CIOs, CFOs, CEOs, and manufacturing executives were from enterprises using Wonderware products and Marcam ERP or maintenance products. The evolving Wonderware strategy is to deliver a suite of modular components, providing integrated real-time ERP with manufacturing execution and coordination capability, to single or distributed plants. The ProductionSuite, FactorySuite, and MaintenanceSuite modules will either plug into Tier-1 ERP backbones, such as SAPR/3, or be deployed as a complete Tier-2 manufacturing management solution for midsize plants, such as contract manufacturing operations.
